Ingredients

Brownies

  • ½ cup butter melted
  • â…“ cup SACO Premium Cocoa
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt

Pecan Pie Topping

  • â…” cup light corn-syrup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups oven roasted pecans

Optional

  • caramel sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • Grease an 8-inch pan.
  • Mix together melted butter and cocoa powder until well-blended.
  • Stir in sugar, followed by eggs.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla, flour and salt.
  • Spread into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes or a few minutes prior to being fully baked. Do NOT cook completely.
  • While your brownies bake, use a large bowl to combine all of the pecan pie topping ingredients.
  • After baking for 20 minutes, remove brownies from the oven and spread pecan pie topping over them evenly.
  • Return brownies to the oven and bake for another 40 minutes.
  •  Remove from the oven and allow to reach room temperature prior to enjoying!
