Preheat the oven to 400F and prepare 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Mix buttermilk powder, flour, baking powder, salt, spices, and sugar together in a large bowl. Once fully combined, add in cold butter and work into the mixture by hand.
In a smaller bowl, combine the water, pumpkin puree, and egg.
Create a well in the middle of the flour mixture and pour the wet mixture into it. Stir with a fork until a dough forms.
Form dough into a large rectangle, about 1 inch thick.
Cut dough into 8 squares and arrange onto baking sheets.
Bake for 16 to 20 minutes or until golden.
